I am a C-level business leader with over 30 years of experience in the aviation business, having worked with multi-cultural teams in 8 countries.
I was born in Singapore, and started my career as a military officer at the age of 21 years, where I learnt about leadership and management excellence.
Later, I switched over to the private sector and started working in the aviation industry. Working overseas, and managing multi-cultural teams in the United States, Russia, Middle East, Europe and the Asia-Pacific, has given me extensive hands-on experience in leadership and people management. I have held several senior level positions, including Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
I am very passionate about teaching, and guiding executives on how to grow in their careers. I do that by sharing unique and practical insights on what it takes to rise to the top of any organisation.
It’s easy to be confused about how to grow in your career. Organisations are often not transparent about what it really takes to rise to the top.
I never had career guidance, nor anyone telling me , in clear terms, what it will take for me to scale the career pyramid. My progression and success, so far, have been based on “rules” and mistakes I learned along the way.
I believe that by sharing those experiences and “rules”, executives will learn from them, and successfully transition to middle and top management.
